How to play Krillion Unlimited

Each round shows a prompt such as "Name a type of cheese". Type any answer that fits and press Enter. Cheddar is correct, but everyone says Cheddar, so it is worth 10. Manchego is worth more; Cabrales more still. Every prompt hides one One in a Krillion answer worth 100. Your seven rounds add up to a depth in metres — reach the twilight zone, the midnight zone, the abyss, or touch the hadal trench.

What is Krillion Unlimited?

Krillion Unlimited is a free rare-answer trivia game. Each dive is seven open prompts like "name a country in South America". Any correct answer counts, but the rarer your answer, the more points you score and the deeper you sink. There is a new daily dive, unlimited dives, category practice and a playable archive of every past day.

Is this the official Krillion game?

No. The original Krillion is the daily game at krillion.io, where the archive and unlimited play are paid. Krillion Unlimited is an independent fan-made site with its own prompts and answer banks, free to play.

How are answers scored?

Every accepted answer has a rarity tier: Plankton 10, Schooler 30, Rare 60, Deep Cut 85, and one One-in-a-Krillion answer worth 100. Seven prompts, so a perfect dive is 700 points, and every point is ten metres of depth.

What happens when the timer runs out?

You are offered a rescue: flip up to three hints on one 60-point answer for 15 more seconds each. Hints cost 10%, 25% or 45% of the round's points. Or surface empty and take a zero.
